Terra has started selective demolition of Carleton College – Laird Hall in Northfield, Minnesota. Built originally in 1905 as the Laird Hall of Science, the 20,000 sf Laird Hall will be completed renovated. In conjunction with renovations to transition Laird from steam to hot water heating, the building will be made fully accessible, complete with fire sprinklers, an elevator and new restrooms. The renovations have begun and will be completed by the end of Spring 2021. Work will also include other mechanical upgrades, upgrading to a central air conditioning system, and updating the electrical system. Terra is working with Collaborative Design Group, MEP A Salas O’Brien Company and Carleton College on the project.
