We're Growing!

Terra is pleased to announce that we have recently expanded our services to include Tenant Improvement work.  Scott Anderson joined our team as Project Manager in August 2008.  Scott is well known in the commercial real estate industry as having a distinctive talent in the TI market.  Kevin Smith also joined Terra in 2008 as Field Superintendent.  Kevin has a reputation for quality and professionalism and is also well recognized in the industry.

Also new to our team in 2008 is Ben Newlin.  Ben brings with him over 10 years of construction experience as a Project Manager, Construction Manager and Owner’s Rep.

Century College – Truck Training Facility
Terra General Contractors has partnered with Scannell Properties, DLR Group and Larson Engineering to build a Truck Training Facility for Century College in Afton, MN.  This 10,000 sf project includes constructing a bituminous track, new building, parking lot and stormwater management facilities on a 37.5 acre site.  The project is currently underway, with an expected completion summer 2009.

Zimmerman Post Office
Dietrich Investments, Inc. has selected Terra General Contractors to build the new US Post Office in Zimmerman, MN.  This 5,075 sf facility was designed by Adkins Associates, Inc.  The new post office will replace the existing post office facility and provide Zimmerman, MN with a state-of-the-art postal facility.

Otsego Autocare & TireOne
Construction has begun on a new Otsego Autocare & TireOne store located in the Great River Centre of Otsego near the new SuperTarget.  Terra General Contractors was selected to construct their new 6,000sf full service auto center and retail tire store.  The facility was designed by Miller Dunnwiddie architects with civil engineering services provided by Bogart-Pederson.  Construction began in October 2008 with a completion date of January 25, 2009.

Anna’s Bananas Daycare and Preschool

Anna’s Bananas Daycare and Preschool have selected Terra General Contractors to provide design build construction services for their new 14,000sf daycare and preschool in Farmington, MN.  Anna's Bananas opened their daycare operations in Farmington in 1999 and have been providing daycare and education services in Farmington for over eight (8) years.

The new facility will be located along Highway 3 next to the new proposed Allina Medical Clinic that will start construction this spring as well.

Terra is working with Miller Dunwiddie Architecture for the design of the facility and James R. Hill for the civil engineering.  The project is anticipated to open by March 1, 2009.
